Well, it’s a good thing I enjoyed yesterday’s splendid weather: Wild Weather In Wellington:

There is surface flooding throughout areas of the capital and minor flooding on State Highway One south of Paekakariki.
The Metservice says winds are reaching up to 120 kilometres an hour.

I don’t know about those winds though … as far as I can see the rain’s heavy, but falling straight down and there’s not even a breeze. It should clean up the car nicely and remove the coating of pollen that arrived during the week.
