Darn it! For ages now I’ve been under the clear impression that the flat park area at the top of Marjoribanks Street on Mt Victoria in Wellington was an official dog park.
Today though, when I studied the City Council’s map of exercise areas I realised that I was wrong. Area #30: Charles Plimmer Park covers: Palliser Road / Majoribanks Street, Mt Victoria – area above Petanque to Palliser Road entrance

I suppose that’s a good thing: the flat area was more often than not an absolute swamp over winter with all the rain we had.
Mind you, the area marked on the official PDF download, doesn’t actually match the description. The sign shown above for the ‘woof woof ruff ruff’ area was beside the flat ground, at the start of a track along to the grassy area marked on the map.
Sigh.
