I was walking along the street the other day when the guy in front of me turned his head a little. I caught a flash of something, and thought: He’s wearing giant, plastic ears!
Then I realised he wasn’t. His earlobes were pierced and contained large discs, perhaps of wood.
That’s when I sneaked this quick photo.

They are called Guages in the U.S. or over here in the U.K. people reffer to them as tunnels, strechers, plugs or fleshys. They can be anything from a 2mm right up to (the largest i have ever seen) is arround 8 inches (mine for example are 12mm). My best friend had his up to arround 72 before having the surgically removed and sewn up. You begin with a regular size peircing and place larger and larger pieces in to begin the streching process. The style originates from (as you probebly have guessed) native tribes and cultures.
Thanks for the info Oll.
I figured you’d have to work up to it gradually.
I saw this same guy yesterday as he was crossing the road in front of me. The ear ornaments certainly are noticeable!
