Futurama’s good news

by Miraz on 10 June 2009 · 0 comments

Sci-fi TV show Futurama is to return.

Good news everyone! Futurama will be back:

20th Century Fox TV plans to produce 26 new episodes of “Futurama.”

Comedy Central will begin airing the new episodes in mid-2010. Voice actors Billy West (who played Philip Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela) and John DiMaggio (Bender) have all signed on to return.

Created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, “Futurama” originally aired on Fox from 1999 to 2003.

I still laugh when I watch an episode from Futurama, and I’ve seen some episodes many times now. It seems, too, that with each viewing I pick up on more of the humour.

My favourite joke is Bender’s apartment number:

… 00100100. This is a binary representation of the ASCII character ‘$’ or 36 in decimal.
